Maya

The living being in his natural healthy consciousness is always fully absorbed in serving Lord Sri Krishna, the transcendental source of all existence. As soon as he forgets Krishna he is plunged into an ocean of misery. This fall down of the living is nicely explained as follows in the Prema-vivarta:
kṛṣṇa-bahirmukha jīva bhoga-vāńchā kare nikaṭa-stha māyā tāre jāpaṭiyā dhare "

Turning his face away from Krishna, the jiva develops the desire to enjoy. Standing nearby, Maya slaps him and seizes hold of him." Krishna has shown me the proof yesterday of above verse. It is true that we continuosly plan things ,which gives us impression that we are going to be happy with this thing or that thing like that, but it never happens. The moment that happy thing comes there is a definite fraction of time we do really feel happy about and then follows the best part :) .
